Annual Town Election on May 21 also includes ballot question

The Annual Town Election will be held Tuesday, May 21.

Polls will be open 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Sharon High School gymnasium.

There are eight seats up for election on five boards and committees:

  • One seat on the Board of Assessors
  • Two seats on the Board of Library Trustees
  • One seat on the Planning Board
  • Three seats on the School Committee
  • One seat on the Select Board

There will also be a ballot question which asks whether the Select Board should be increased from three to five members.

Town Meeting voters approved the change at the Annual Town Meeting in May 2023, but it also requires approval on the ballot.

If approved on the May 21 ballot, the added seats will be on the 2025 Annual Town Election ballot.
